Per email from AC Rindone:

LBFD Fire Boat 20 “Protector” located at Fire Station 20 on Pier D will be out of service from October 28, 2024 through mid-December 2024 for maintenance and repair at ALBS (Al Larson Boat Shop) in San Pedro.

 To maintain emergency operational readiness in the POLB, the following changes will take effect:

  • Fire Station 20 will not have a spare boat for response and will only respond to incidents requiring a Fire Engine (Engine 20)
  • Engine 15 will be out of service to keep Fire Boat 15 available at all times
  • Non-emergency Fire Boat requests will be carefully considered with the priority of keeping Fire Boat 15 in the POLB and available
